This is a collection of friends, family, and strangers.
I love shooting portraits on film – there’s something quite charming about asking someone if you can take their photograph knowing that it may take a couple of weeks or even months to get them developed and sent their way.
Some of the people featured here are my closest friends and family. Some of the people featured here I have met only once. That is the beauty of such a project – to document the rich tapestry of faces that make up life.
I endeavour to continue being brave and asking strangers if I can take their portrait. It’s something I’m getting much better at, and the conversations that I end up having are often interesting, unexpected, and beautiful in their own right.
To those that said yes to me shoving a film camera in their face, I just want to say thank you – as someone who is much happier behind the lens than I am in front of it, I know your pain…
